    PM Tuning Ignitor re-mapped CDI ignition unit for most 50cc-70cc autos explained.

    No complex re- wiring or re-timing. Simply unplug the original CDI and plug in the new CDI for optimum ignition boost improved spark lead and intensity without in built fixed rev limiter /restrictor.
    Various auto manufactures build in a fixed rpm ceiling into there CDI boxs, and no amount of tuning or bolt on performance parts will see an increase in power after a certain rpm example Hondas X8R/S+SFX use this idea as part of there 30 MPH restriction in the UK.

    PM tuning can offer for most autos a race coil + re-mapped CDI box available with or without variable spark advance trim (engine cannot be damaged) the adjustable RPM rev limiter, once pre-set to the desired rpm ceiling, (E.G. 30mph legal limit) can then be switched on or off by means of a toggle switch or small key type switch (2x keys supplied).
    The reason for this feature was originally for certain European countries.
    For example German police units use a mobile dyno if you were unfortunate to be pulled over you could simply switch on the rev limiter, this would then restrict the machine to the legal power limit leaving the police baffled after seeing a tuned machine just out accelerate a Porsche.
    Other advantages of this system are your machine can be loaned to a friend safe in the knowledge that he/she cannot over rev your engine when switched on.

    All PM Tuning Ignitor CDIÆs are designed for plug and play installation some have a small amount of ignition timing delay trim along with rev limiter adjustment with on off switch.

    12VOLT CDIÆs with optional supplementary power supply black / red 12v power lead.
    This feature allows the CDI to maintain maximum power output throughout the entire rev range regardless on the performance of the flywheel / stator. Small power drain requires a minimum of 8v to work effectively.
    Variable advance
    Start up advance is managed by a micro processor with integrated automatic correction to natural delay of the stator/flywheel it will improve the engines performance especially on hard acceleration. Requires no mechanical adjustment to the stator/flywheel.
    Fitting:
    Locate original CDI usually under front panel (Honda x8r) or rear side left hand panel on most.
    Remove original CDI and replace with Ignitor CDI plugging into original wiring loom.
    Remove the original coil and replace if your kit includes new race coil.

    The TFI was designed and developed to provide an affordable solution to increasing the ôfun factorö or ridability of your scooter. With todayÆs pollution regulations, many if not all of todayÆs scooters are setup extremely lean to meet these regulations. Unfortunately they are not always the best setup for performance or ridability. Therefore, adjusting the air fuel ration on these machines is essential to achieve optimum performance and ridability.

    The TFI is not an interceptor and it does not alter factory air/fuel computer tales or pulse-width calculations. It taps into the injector-driver circuitry of a stock scooters EFI and selectively appends extra pulse-width voltage keeping injectors open the exact incremental time required for precise fuel enrichment. The scooters on-board computer and wiring harness remain intact, with no wires needing to be cut. The stock air-fuel Map remains intact, as does its correlation to the engineÆs volumetric efficiency (breathing) curve.The TFi is simple to adjust. Four adjustable dials (pods) and circuitry in the control unit (1) define the breakpoint between cruise and ômain-jetö RPM, (2) the length of time and magnitude for auxiliary transitional enrichment, (3) and the incremental enrichment in tenths of milliseconds for the three operating ranges. The TFI unit is available as a pre programmed module to optimise the PM68 fuelling requirements with easily adjustable function should a different setup be required (E.G. using it with the standard exhaust system or other after market tuning parts) and can also be done at the side of the road if needed.
